PENMAN PULLS OUT OF USA It is fair to say that some things simply do not travel well across the Atlantic and in light of very poor revenue results in the USA we have been faced with no other option other than to pull out.

We enjoyed reasonable numbers of applications but were disappointed in the revenues generated by the resident team.

Whilst a useful experiment with great level of knowledge picked up from it – it is right to focus on the UK until at least the recession abates.

2006 Companies Act Now In Full Force

It has been described as the longest Act in history but is still a riveting read if you like that kind of thing. Various elements of the Act were phased in over three distinct time periods but as of now the full law is in force.

Warning – For the first time many of the civil penalties for not complying with the act have been converted to criminal status.

RECORD APPLICATIONS TO PENMAN

Applications to Penman have doubled since the beginning of 2009. Whilst the recession does bring with it a significant amount of grief it also forces the affected to reconsider their next move.
